The Pumpkin Seed Recipes

This seed is very helpful and important for treatment of many things; you can find pumpkins nearly everywhere during the thanksgiving holidays.
Everybody knows the pumpkin pie, more than the pumpkin itself, but seed that are thrown away are very important and healthy, and that what concerns me.

Pumpkin seed recipe No. 1: Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

Prepare it as you like it either roasted, salted peanuts or other nuts, you can have roasted or toasted pumpkin seeds.

To prepare them:
 · 2 cups of pumpkin seeds
 · 2 tablespoons olive oil
 · 1½ teaspoons salt

- Wash the pumpkin seeds fine, dry them on paper towel sheets.
- Mix seeds with oil and salt (or without oil, but stir well so as not stick to the container), spread on cookie sheet or wide baking dish.
- Bake at 225°F for about an hour or until crisp.
You can optionally soak seed in water for 8-12 hours; soaking grains allow the growth hormones inside seeds to become active, thus forming more nutrients.

Pumpkin seed recipe No. 2: pumpkin seed cereal dash

This is my favorite. If you can eat it every day, do so, for it has many health benefits, especially for men. At least eat it once a week.
A simple recipe that can be made every day.
Ingredients:
· ¼ cup (or a handful) of pumpkin seeds, washed, dried on paper towel.
· Optionally, use handful of the toasted seeds as prepared in the above recipe.
· For 10 minutes or until crisp, toast the seeds at 225°F in the oven on cookie sheet or in a glass-baking dish. (That is for preparation of a bigger batch, for having enough for the next step).
· Put the ¼ cup (or a handful) of seeds in a coffee grinder, grind to powder, add to your breakfast cereal, or sprinkle on rice, cooked vegetables, or other food.
Pumpkin seeds are very important for diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure.
